Sura 113: Al-Falaq

With the Glorious Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate [Who has bestowed upon mankind His Guidance {10:57-58, 17:82}], the Most Beneficent [Who showers His special blessings upon those who rehearse it and abide by it {7:204, 6:155}].

113:1 Say, "I seek protection, preservation and refuge with the Lord of the whole creation [Who brings things into existence, nourishes, sustains, maintains, regularises, and directs them from their earliest state to that of ultimate completion and perfection]

[Ta'awwaz][Rabb][Al-Falaq]

113:2 From the evil aspect of all things or beings that He has created

[Shar][Ma Khalaq]

113:3 And from the sinister of the darkness [or malaise of the gloominess] when it comes upon

[Ghasiqin][Iza][Waqaba]

113:4 And from the detriment of the enchantments that cast spell upon the resolute determinations

[Shar][Naffasat][Uqad]

113:5 And from the spite of the envious when he envies"
