Allah Condemns Hoarding of
Money or Property - II |
Allah has
condemned hoarding of money or property. Please see the
following verses of the Quran:

وَالَّذِينَ يَكْنِزُونَ الذَّهَبَ وَالْفِضَّةَ وَلا يُنْفِقُونَهَا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَبَشِّرْهُمْ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ |

يَوْمَ يُحْمَى عَلَيْهَا فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ فَتُكْوَى بِهَا جِبَاهُهُمْ وَجُنُوبُهُمْ وَظُهُورُهُمْ هَذَا مَا
كَنَزْتُمْ لأنْفُسِكُمْ فَذُوقُوا مَا كُنْتُمْ
تَكْنِزُونَ |
|
...All those who hoard up gold and silver and spend it not
in the Cause of Allah, to them give tidings (O Prophet) of a
painful doom.
On the Day when it will all be heated in the fire of Hell
and their foreheads, flanks and backs will be branded with
it. “Here is what you hoarded for yourselves, now taste what
you had hoarded.”
[9:34-35]
|
كَلا إِنَّهَا لَظَى
نَزَّاعَةً لِلشَّوَى
تَدْعُو مَنْ أَدْبَرَ وَتَوَلَّى
وَجَمَعَ فَأَوْعَى |
|
But nay! Behold, it is a raging fire. Eager to roast.
It
calls him who turned and fled from Truth.
And hoarded wealth, and withheld it. [70:15:18]
|
وَيْلٌ لِكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُمَزَةٍ
الَّذِي
جَمَعَ مَالا وَعَدَّدَهُ |
|
Woe unto every slanderer, fault-finder!
Whose efforts revolve around gathering wealth (or material
possessions) and counting them. [104:1-2]
