Is Muhammad (a.s.) Dead?

The Quran says categorically that Muhammad (a.s.) would die as others would die. Please see the following verse:

Surely (O Prophet) you will die and surely they (too) will die.

Al-Qur'an, 039.030 (Az-Zumar [The Troops, Throngs])

The above verse mentions first the death of the Prophet (in second person singular) and then mentions the death of others (in third person plural). The verse begins with the word inna which means surely (this will happen).

However, this must be kept in mind that Allah Will give life again to the dead. Please see the following verses:

How can you disbelieve in Allah (knowing that) He it is Who gave you life when you were lifeless? Then He will cause you to die and bring you back to life again. And then, all of you will return unto Him.

Al-Qur'an, 002.028 (Al-Baqara [The Cow])

And He it is Who gives you life, then He will cause you to die, and will then give you life again. Yet, ungrateful is man.

Al-Qur'an, 022.066 (Al-Hajj [The Pilgrimage])

Allah is He Who has created you and then has provided you with sustenance, and then will cause you to die, and then will bring you to life again. Are there any of your ‘partners’ who can do any single one of these things? Glorious is He, and Sublimely Exalted Above the ‘partners’ they associate with Him.

Al-Qur'an, 030.040 (Ar-Room [The Romans, The Byzantines])

Important

And do not follow (blindly) any information of which you have no (direct) knowledge. (Using your faculties of perception and conception, you must verify it for yourself.) (In the Court of your Lord,) you will be held accountable for your hearing, sight, and the faculty of reasoning."[17:36]
