Allah is Al-Momin [59:23]
but this does not mean that He is a believer (in some
sort of ideology or system of beliefs) but that He
is the One Who renders mankind secure from all fears
from without, all griefs from within and everything
that precludes real human happiness. But this blessing
of security from all extrinsic fears and intrinsic
griefs and glooms is not gratis. This security will
only come upon those
who have firm conviction that
there is Allah and believe in the Hereafter and do
deeds of righteousness
[2:62, 5:69, 6:48, 2:277, 34:37, 72:13];
who say, Our Lord is
Allah, then they continue on the right way
[46:13];
who follow Allah's guidance
[2:38]; who submit themselves entirely to Allah and do
good [2:112];
who
spend their
property, by night and by day, secretly and openly, in the way of Allah, then do not follow up what
they have spent with reproach or injury [2:262, 2:274];
who believe and do good deeds and establish
As-Salaat and
provide
Zakaat
[2:277]; who
guard themselves
against the inevitable harmful consequences of violating
Allah's Laws and Commands by careful observance and act aright [7:35,
15:45-46, 44:51]. Al-Aman (i.e. security from
fears and griefs) is for those who attain belief and do
not confound their belief with wrong (doctrines) [6:82];
and who do not commit
shirk
of any sort [6:81]
